McAfee gone wild and cost companies $$$
Today a corporate version of McAfee software went out of control rebooted hundreds of thousands of corporate computers costing $$$ – no estimates are available at this time.
According to msnbc “The computer problem forced about a third of the hospitals in Rhode Island to postpone elective surgeries and stop treating patients without traumas in emergency rooms, said Nancy Jean, a spokeswoman for the Lifespan system of hospitals.” This is the first time McAfee has experinced this sort of an issue with it’s software. They have promised to “…take measures” and stop this from ever happening again.
I beleive they are confident of fixing and never letting it happen again. I am sure Norton is ready to help companies that experienced this outage and loss of productivty.
